Welcome
Oregon Trail Lumber is a small privately held lumber wholesale company. For over 20 years we have specialized in the sale of western softwoods of varying grades and sizes with market penetration focusing on the Western United States.
While the company is a little over 20 years old, it's genenis dates back to a time when economy lumber was just given away... if only you would come and get it.
In the early 1950's Arthur Pozzi and Al Irving met in Vancouver, B.C. while working for McMillan & Bloedel Lumber Company. While pulling lumber off the green chain they swapped stories and spoke of the future. In the late 50's Arthur moved to Portland, Oregon to begin to work for a lumber wholesale firm. Meanwhile, Al took an outside sales position with M&B traveling across the frozen hinterlands of Northern Alberta.
Arthur proved to be quite apt at lumber wholesale. After a few short years he was ready to begin his own firm, The Arthur A. Pozzi Company. He quickly made a call to his friend in Northern Alberta. The call was answered and Al moved south to join Arthur. Thus began the long business relationship of the two men.
In the late 70's, Pozzi Company began a retail lumber yard. It was quickly discovered that this was not a comfortable direction for the company. A decision was reached to take some of the traders from Pozzi Company and turn the lumber yard into a strictly wholesale operation. Thus began Oregon Trail Lumber.
Today the firm is managed by Al's son Drew who has been trading lumber for over 25 years. Continuing the decades old tradition of competitive pricing and exceptional customer service, Oregon Trail Lumber maintains a mindset of direct customer interaction and welcomes you to give us a ring at (503) 231-0400 or drop an email so we can introduce ourselves to you.
